Small Changes, Big Impact: How Simple Shifts Can Transform Your Life

From Watching to Doing: How Lists,
Goals, and Optimism Changed My Life

The Wake-Up Call: When Watching Became My Life

| used to be the queen of saving things. Recipes, exercises, travel videos—you name it—I had it
bookmarked, saved, pinned, and stored away for “someday.”

I’d scroll for hours, watching other people live their best lives. People making homemade pasta
from scratch, traveling to remote beaches, transforming their health, building businesses, and
creating something out of nothing.

And I’d think, Wow, I’d love to do that someday.
But, someday never came.
Because instead of doing, | was watching.

Then one day, | stopped. Not the scrolling—let’s be honest, | still do that—but | stopped letting it
be the end of the story.

| took everything | had saved on my phone—every recipe, travel destination, workout, and DIY
project—and wrote it down.

A simple, messy, unfiltered list of everything | wanted to do.

And that one little act? It changed everything.

The Transformative Power of Lists: How They Empower You to Achieve
Your Dreams

Some people see lists as just organization tools. A way to keep track of groceries, to-dos, or
work deadlines. But for me?

Lists are the bridge between dreams and reality.

They take all those “someday” ideas in my head and turn them into something
tangible, achievable, and accurate.

When | wrote down “Learn how to make homemade salsa,” | didn’t just think
about it anymore—| did it. Similarly, | learned to play the guitar, visited the top 10
travel destinations on my list, and started my own small business.
And that one little step? It opened doors | didn’t expect.

Now, I don’t just make salsa—l make homemade bruschetta bread. | use salsa for

shrimp tacos. | gift jars of it to friends with a handwritten recipe so they can pay it
forward.

One thing led to another; before I knew it, | wasn’t just making lists.

| was living them.

The Power of Goal-Setting (Made Simple)
The world makes goal-setting feel overwhelming.

We hear about “big-picture goals,” “SMART goals,” “vision boards,” and
“manifestation,” and while all of that has its place, sometimes we just need to
start.

No overthinking. No fancy system. Just a list of things you want to do.
Here’s what worked for me:

Write it down. Not in your phone—physically on paper. Writing makes it real.
Keep it simple. Don’t write, “Get in the best shape of my life.” Instead, write, “Try
one new exercise this week.”
Start small. Pick one thing and do it. Then another. Momentum builds fast.

And most importantly…

Do it for yourself—not for Instagram, not for validation, not for anyone else, just
because you want it.

Optimism: The Secret Weapon No One Talks About

It is easy to look around and feel like the world is too far gone. People are
exhausted, overworked, stressed, and stuck in survival mode.

But here’s what I’ve learned:

Optimism isn’t about ignoring reality. It’s about choosing to see possibilities
instead of obstacles.

It’s about saying, Yes, life is hard right now, but I still have the power to do
something.
Something small. Something personal. Something that makes my life (and maybe
someone else’s) just a little bit better.

That’s why | share.
That’s why | write.

That’s why | don’t just want to be on this side of the phone, scrolling through
someone else’s life.

| want to be on the other side. The one inspiring, leading, teaching, and showing
people that life doesn’t have to be this exhausting, never-ending loop of stress
and regret.

You don’t have to have it all figured out. You don’t have to make massive changes
overnight.

You just have to start.

One list.
One goal.
One step.

And before you know it, you’ll be on the other side too—living, doing, creating,
and inspiring the next person who needs that push.

So tell me… What’s on your list? What’s that one thing you’ve been putting off for
‘someday’? It’s time to bring it to today. Start your list, set your goals, and take that
first step. You won’t regret it.
